Your decision to enter into a one of available rehab centers, whether it is for drug or alcohol abuse is an important step in your recovery. There are differences in the treatment model as well as different rates and prices. There are inpatient as well as outpatient. The starting point for the alcoholic or drug addict is to go through a 3-7 day alcohol detox program.Treatment Centers usually take alcohol and drug withdraw very serious and should be medically supervised. The use of some type of medication is used to help taper off, to ease the discomfort of withdrawal. Treatment centers usually last 30 days (some are longer) not including detox and consist of a schedule of activities geared to providing the patient

Depends on the treatment facility and how they embrace the recovery process. Most will offer individual counseling as well as behavior therapy. Along with that you will have group therapy, where the patient will learn the most about themselves by meeting and getting to know others with the same problem as the patient. A lot or treatment programs are based on the 12-step program of Alcohol Anonymous and Narcotic Anonymous but not all. Some emphasize the concept of a “Higher Power” and some do not. To some it up, you will find that the majority alcohol and drug rehabs offer individual counseling, group counseling, behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, substance abuse education classes, lectures and workshops. Always remember that the ultimate goal is long-term continuous sobriety.
Rehabs have different cost as any service provided by type of treatment. Some are quite expensive, running as much as forty thousand dollars for a 30-day program, but there are many that are more affordable. Some Addicts or Alcoholics may qualify to enter a program at no cost which usually funded by the county. Many alcohol and drug rehab centers accept Medicaid or Medicare if the addict who qualifies. Though it seems that insurance companies are becoming less and less willing to pay rehabs for alcohol and drug addiction treatment, many treatment centers still accept insurance for payment. Others don’t accept any type of insurance and are strictly cash pay, but their fees are moderate so they are reasonably priced alternatives for those with limited or no insurance coverage at all. Please don’t let the cost dissuade the decision, we may be talking about a life or death situation.
Yes unless you are court ordered, in that case you will most likely violated your probation and will have to go back in front of the Judge. The Judge or probation officer will won’t to know why you left before your treatment was concluded. Keep in mind that to change to a life where alcohol or drugs are no longer a problem and where you can be free to be the best you can be do not work unless you are willing to commit to being there and follow the guidelines.
